Recommended routes : Shirsad phata - Vajreshwari - ambadi route if you live in north Mumbai suburbs - Virar, Nalasopara, vasai. Definitely this route if you are from the north of Vasai. If you are not then the route is by the Thane - Nashik which you will find on the map. If you are not taking a vehicular path then by train you have to alight at Kasara station in central rail and take a bus from there to Bari village where the place is located. As the frequency of transportation is poor there and the mobile signal is also poor, I highly recommend you to take the owned or rented vehicular path. In any emergency situations the vehicle will be very helpful as the hospitals are far away from the place.
Recommended transportation : Owned or rented vehicle. Two wheeler would be even awesome as the scenic beauty from Virar to Ambadi is stunning. It takes around 4hours from Virar Phata.
Recommended time of the day : Early morning if you are going in winter. At sunrise if you are going in monsoon.
Do not forget : Winter wear - gloves sweaters etc and even little kerosene for campfire as the temperature reaches too low on the summit in early morning. *Collect woods while you are about to reach the summit if you are to wait for the rising sun.* First aid kit is very essential obviously. Carry enough water while going in monsoon. Save the camera and mobile battery as you will regret when you get on top that there isn't enough.
How to enjoy after getting there? The best way to enjoy there is capturing the moment you where waiting for as you don't know when you will be there again. It's worth to be on top, believe me - the rising sun, the scenic beauty, the clouds, the shooting stars, the meteors - everything will be locked into your memories forever and nothing will erase that memory. It's overwhelming feeling that doesn't have a perfect adjective in the English dictionary to express it.
